When S had another acute exacerbation of severe sciatica after surgery, his UK Orthopaedic specialist arranged an MRI and he was told his problem was more disc trouble
He had some help and improved, but six weeks later his problems came back after busy trips overseas
He sought advice from 5 separate surgeons including the Mayo clinic. Three advised surgery and two advised he waited, so his staff called me back in to help.
S’s private providers before me, hadn’t fully engaged him in his rehabilitation and S was very interested to learn.
His private estate included an indoor pool and gym. A full rehabilitation program was provided at home. S had a young family, was president of a company and used his home as a business venue for meetings.
His program was arranged around his work and family. So that he had as close to normal contact with his staff, employees and life.
After 10 weeks of learning how and what to do, he was back to his international lifestyle with negligible trouble
He flew out and was reviewed at the Mayo clinic and booked a follow up appointment when he updated “My consultant said I owe my recovery to your help, and they led a training session to the staff based around the notes and letter you sent out, and it’s confirmed, I don’t need to have surgery ”
Client stories
“My name is R, Jill’s sorted my back for years. My work takes me overseas and the travel and business meetings can make me feel stressed and my partner has MS. So life can be stressful, because when I’m away I often worry that she might fall or there could be a crisis. In 2013, I was diagnosed with cauda equina syndrome and wanted to avoid surgery. With Jill’s help I keep my symptoms under control. When I’m in the UK, I book in for a session of coaching support to help my stress and a revision session to keep up with the ongoing exercises I do when I’m travelling that keep me going. Thanks Jill ”
“I’m C, in 2013, when I was 36, I had back surgery, but it wasn’t a complete success. My MRI scans show that there is a tag of disc and my specialists told me I needed more surgery. But’s Jill taught me about pain science, mindfulness and self hypnosis techniques. I know I get more pain when life is hectic. As parent to a very lively 5 year old, with a highly fast paced demanding job and hectic family life, busy is most days. I’m not based in Berkshire, but when I’m down visiting family I drop in every now and again with Jill for a revision top-up and so far to so good”
“I’m A, I’m 77 and my problem is spinal stenosis and worn bones, my mobility is bad and I cant walk far. But I do the exercise Jill’s taught me, as much as I can and keep going because I want to avoid surgery. Thank you Jill”
